This Indenture of Eleven parts made the Twentyeighth day of October in the Thirty second ear of the Reign of our Sovereign

Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith and so forth And in the year of

our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and Fifty eight Between James Catlow of Mosley in the parish of Ashton under Line in the County

of Lancaster Chapman (which said James is one of the Children of the Revered Jonathan Catlow late of Ashton under Line Clerk deceased) of the first part

James Gibbon of Ashton under Line aforesaid Yeoman of the second part James Harrop of Ashton under Line aforesaid  Shoemaker and Elizabeth his Wife of the third

part Miles Greaves of Ashton under Line aforesaid Apothecary and Catalina his Wife of the fourth part (Which said James Gibbon and Catalina are Children

of William Gibbon late of Ashton under Line aforesaid Apothecary deceased) John Cock of Ryecroft in the parish of Ashton under Line aforesaid Gentleman and

Alice his Wife (which said Alice is another of the Children of the said Jonathan Catlow) of the fifth part Samuel Crabtree of Ashton under Line aforesaid Mason and Grace his Wife (Which said Grace is one of the Children

of the said William Gibbon) of the Sixth part Joshua Wood of Ashton underline aforesaid Chapman and Catalina his Wife (Niece of Alice Pickford late of Ashton under Line deceased and late

Wife of the said William Gibbon of the seventh part Martha Boyes of at Messrs Harrison's in Old Broad Street London (who was Maid

Servant to the said Alice Pickford at the time of her death) of the eighth part Samuel Palin of mile end Green in the parish of Stepney in County of Midelsex

Gentleman and Elizabeth his Wife (Niece to the said Alice Pickford) of the ninth part Jonathan Kay of Ashton under Line aforesaid Chapman of the Tenth part (Which said James Catlow James Gibbon Elizabeth

Harrop Catalina Greaves Alice Cock Grace Crabtree Catalina Wood Martha Boyes Elizabeth Palin and Jonathan Kay are Legatees named in the last Will and Testament of the said Alice Pickford) And Edward Gregge of

of the Eleventh part Whereas the said Miss Pickford in and by her last Will and Testament in writing bearing date on or about the Twenty third day of May which was in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven

hundred and Fifty seven Did amongst other Devises Gifts Bequests and things therein contained Give and Bequeath out of her personal Estate Unto the said James Catlow the Sum of Fifty pounds sterling to

be paid him without Interest at his Age of Twenty one years Unto the said James Gibbon Elizabeth Harrop and Catalina Greaves the Sum of One hundred pounds sterling each at the end of Twelve Months next after her

decease Unto the said James Catlow and Alice Cock the Sum of eighty pounds sterling each at the like end of Twelve Months Unto Grace the wife of the said Samuel Crabtree the Sum of Fifty pounds sterling  at the like end of

Twelve Months Unto the said Catalina Wood Sum of Ten pounds to buy her Mourning with Unto such person as shou'd live with her as her Maid Servant at the time of her Death (Who the said Martha Boyes

was) the Sum of Ten pounds Sterling and five pounds more to buy her Mourning Unto the said Elizabeth Palin the Sum of Two hundred pounds Sterling at the like end of Twelve Months Unto the said Elizabeth

Palin one third part of all her Wearing Apparrel, Unto the said Catalina Wood one other third part thereof Unto the said Jonathan Kay the Sum of Twenty five pounds Sterling And all the rest residue and remainder of

her Personal Estate (after Payment of the beforementioned Legacies and other the Legacies and Sums of Money in the said Will mentioned) it was her Will and Mind shoud be equally divided into three parts

one third part whereof she gave and bequeathed to her Late Nephew Joseph Pickford's two sons share and share alike, one other third part thereof Unto the Children of the said Catalina Wood equally

share and share alike, and the other third part thereof Unto all the Children of the said Jonathan Catlow equally share and share alike And of the said Will appointed the said Edward Gregge and

Robert Gartside Executors As in and by the same Will (refference being thereunto had) may more fully and at large appear And Whereas the said Alice Pickford departed

this Life soon after the making of her said Will whereupon the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside proved the same in the proper Ecclesiastical Court and took upon

themselves the Execution thereof And Whereas the said James Catlow hath attained his Age of Twenty one years and it being now upwards of Twelve Monts since the Death

of the said Alice Pickford the said Legacies and bequests by the said Will given to the said beforenamed Persons (Legatees) are become due and payable And Whereas the residue

of the Testatrixes Personal Estate after payment of her Debts Funeral Expences and other Costs and Charges attending the execution of her said Will together will the Legacies and Bequests

by the same Will given to all and every the Persons therein named amounts to the Sum of One thousand and twenty seven pounds thirteen shillings and six pence apiece Which divided into

three equal parts makes the Sum of Five hundred and ten pounds seven shillings and two pence each third part And Whereas the Sum of Five hundred and ten pounds eleven

shillings and two pence one third part of the said residue given to the Children of the said Catalina Wood being equally divided amongst the said James Gibbon Elizabeth Harrop Catalina

Greaves and Grace Crabtree (being all the Children of the said Catalina Wood) will amount to the Sum of One hundred and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings and nine pence apiece And the like Sum

of Five hundred and ten pounds seven shillings and two pence one other third part of the said residue given to all the Children of the said Jonathan Catlow being equally divided amongst all

the said Children (being five in number the part and share of the said James Catlow and Alice Cock thereof will amount to the Sum of One hundred and two pounds two shillings and two pence

each And Whereas the said Executors have this day paid to the said Legatees before named all and every the Gifts Legacies and Bequests by the said Will severally and respectively given

bequeathed and now belonging to them Now this Indenture Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred and Thirty pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain

(being the Legacies mentioned in and given to the said James Catlow by the in part writed Will) and of the further Sum of One hundred and two pounds two shillings and two pence

of like lawful money being the said James Catlow's part and share as one of the Children of the said Jonathan Catlow, of one third part of the residue of the Testatrixs Personal Estate, both

which Sums of One humndred and thirty pounds and One hundred and two pounds two shillings and two pence make together the Sum of Two hundred and thirty two pounds two shillings

and two pence to the said James Catlow in hand paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or before the Execution of these presents The Receipt

whereof he doth hereby confess and acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully satisfied and paid And Also for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred

pounds apiece of like lawful money (being the Legacy mentioned in and given to each of them the said James Gibbon Elizabeth Harrop and Catalina Greaves by the same

Will) and of the further Sum of One hundred and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings and nine pence each of like lawful money (being the said James Gibbon Elizabeth Harrop and

Catalina Greaves their respective parts and shares, as Children of the said Catalina Wood, of one third part of the residue of the Testatrixes Personal Estate)  to the said
